Liquor Lovers is a family-owned liquor store at 1510 S Ankeny Blvd, Suite 107/108, Ankeny, Iowa 50023. This policy explains what information we collect through liquorloversia.com and our email list, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What We Collect
When you sign up for our emails, we collect your email address and your confirmation that you are 21 or older. That is the only form on our website.
Like most websites, ours also receives basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you look at, and the site that sent you here. Our website platform collects this automatically to keep the site secure and working.

We also use Google Analytics to understand how people use our website. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the type of device you use, your general location (city level, not your street address), and how you found us. Our website platform also gives Google Analytics a random visitor ID so repeat visits are counted correctly. We see this as totals and trends. It does not tell us your name or email address.
Some of our pages show videos from YouTube. If you press play, YouTube receives information about your visit, such as your IP address and that you watched the video.
We do not collect phone numbers, home addresses, payment information or dates of birth through this website. We do not sell anything online.
How We Use It
We use your email address to let you know when a new Store Pick lands or a raffle date is set, plus the occasional store announcement. We use the technical information and Google Analytics reports to keep the site running, protect it from misuse, and see which pages people find useful so we can make the site better.
What We Don't Do
We don't sell your information. We don't rent our email list or share it with anyone for their own marketing. We don't put advertising trackers or pixels on this website.
Who Else Handles It
We share information only with the companies that help us run the website and send our emails, and only so they can do that job for us. Our website is built and hosted on Wix, and our signup form runs through Wix. Those companies handle your information under their own privacy policies.

Videos on our site are played by YouTube, which is owned by Google. YouTube handles what it collects when you play a video under Google's own privacy policy, not ours.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or if the store is ever sold, in which case the email list would go to the new owner under this same policy.

Our website uses a small number of cookies that it needs to work, such as cookies that keep the site secure and remember your session.

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you're off the list. No hard feelings.

We'll take care of it within 45 days. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we may keep your email address on a do-not-send list so we don't add you back by mistake.
21 and Over
Our website and email list are for adults 21 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If we learn that someone under 21 has signed up, we will delete their information.
How Long We Keep It
We keep your email address for as long as you are on our list. Technical visit information is kept by our website platform for as long as it needs it for security and site performance. Google Analytics keeps visit-level information for a limited time and then keeps only overall totals.
Keeping It Safe
Our website runs on a secure connection, and we limit who can see our email list. No website is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care with the little information we have.
Links to Other Sites
Our website links to other sites, such as our Facebook page and a review of one of our Store Picks on Instagram. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we're not responsible for how they handle your information.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top. If the change is a big one, we'll tell our email list before it takes effect.
